Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

Guardian Home Care is part of Integracare Inc. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you fill in our assessment form, call us or email us, we collect the details you choose to share. These are usually your name, phone number, email address, the city where care is needed, and the kind of help you are looking for.

When you become a client, we also collect what we need to plan and provide your care, including health information from your care assessment and billing details.

Like most websites, ours records how it is used: the pages visited, the type of device and browser, and the IP address.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your inquiry, arrange your assessment, and plan, provide and bill for your care. If you tick the box on our form, we may text you about your inquiry.

We may also email you about our services. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it with the members of your care team who need it to look after you, and never with anyone you ask us to leave out.

We also use service providers who help us run our business. HubSpot stores the requests you send through our forms, and Microsoft 365 handles our email. Google Analytics measures how the site is used. CallTrackingMetrics shows the phone number that matches how you found us and records which calls came from which source. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that each form comes from a person and blocks automated spam. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy.

We may release personal information when the law requires it, such as for a court order. We first check that the request is lawful, and release only what it calls for.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies, small files your browser stores, for Google Analytics and call tracking. One of our own cookies remembers which ad or website first brought you to us, so we can tell which of our advertising works. It lasts 90 days. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Keeping it safe

We keep personal information in secure systems that only authorized staff can open. Every employee is trained in privacy when they join and signs a confidentiality agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep client records for 7 years after care ends, or longer if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and have any mistakes corrected. You can also ask us to stop emails or texts at any time.

Questions or concerns

Call 416-613-8570 and ask for our Privacy Officer, or reach us through our contact page. If we cannot settle your concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
